eprefugee. The walrus is on land where he can exist, though not the best. The elephant can't jump, and his weight could have him sink into the sand.Kapeesh? Its about balance.

The walrus is a marine mammal, so it's out of its element. That hardly sounds neutral to me. The elephant is a land mammal, so it has the advantage. The elephant wins, hands down. It just needs one good stomp.

Hard compacted sand....still it will make him sink when he jumps...ok....The other day I saw two elephants taking a sand bath.....they looked like they really enjoyed it- probably to keep the bugs away...So, for sure before the elephant finishes the walrus up by sitting on him he will loosen up the sand and roll around in it first...then when he gets bored by that he will go to the walrus covers him with sand (with his trunk) then sits on him...no physical contact necessary...lol. Easy. Next!

how is compacted sand a neutral battle ground considering the walrus is a marine animal.

Elephants can't jump anyway. and the sand doesn't help the walrus move any better. I'm gonna say an elephant will kill the walrus and eat him. they can kill hippos and rhinos, the walrus isn't gonna do any better.

Hopefully the walrus and elephant would become friends. They're not as ignorant as humans who resort to fighting, they fight just to survive.
