I have twin mixed girls and I named them Leila and Olivia :) You should give them a unique name. Nothing plain like Jennifer or Heather (my name) hehe.
Preston is a good boy name.

Well, I'm mixed and my name is Alexis but I know tons of people from different races named Alexis. I would suggest looking for a name you like rather than a name that will suit your "mixed" baby. I've always thought that mixed babies with exotic names are beautiful because you don't really know the origin and the mysteriousness is unique. I saw a black and hawaiian baby named Leilani (lay-lon-nee) and a few names that I like are: Devin (boy or girl) Ryan (girl, I know...it's unique) Kailynn (ki-lynn, girl) Jonoah (ja-noah, boy) and for some reason I've always liked the name Preson, it's a little preppy but cute. I hope I've been helpful!

Don't worry about what race they are, give them names that mean something. Decide what you want to say about your child (aka "strong" or "friend" or "loving") and find that word in another language that is pretty, or find a pretty name that means those things. Baby-name books are a good place to start.

I like the name Merna for a girl, and for a boy Nathan. But i don't really think it makes a difference if they are bi-racial or not,its the meaning and thought behind the name that counts.

being blessed with a baby is a wonderful experience, and i can understand that finding a name can sometimes be a difficult circumstance. however it saddens me that you believe children should be named based on their race. i've met white women named tomeka and black women named tomeka, so i'm not feeling your point. surely, you've heard of a name or two that you thought thought were "pretty" or unique. if you are the parent, then go with what you like and THAT will be the "perfect" name.

honestly, i think your insecurities are showing...

Ummm? Something different, something meaningful. There are no real names for a mixed child. I am mixed and my name is Irish and i have Irish nowhere in my blood. I do like Khal or Kial, Alasha, kimora and Shakara though. Its just different. No matter what name you choose make sure it fits your child's personality.

Why would pretty names be any different for a mixed child than for any OTHER child?
