It is hell. I accidently bought one once without looking. I washed several times with my cleanser and there was still some left.

HONEY LISTEN, I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING OUT THERE. I WEAR WATERPROOF MASCARA EVERYDAY!! The absolute best is Lancome BI-FACIL Double-Action Eye Make up Remover. I have tried every brand under the sun, Vaseline, mineral oil.
You have to be gentle on the eye area. You NEVER want to rub too aggressively. Another tip, DON'T USE a cotton ball. Shake it up covering it with your finger and dab it on with your fingers (you'll use way less, it will last you a long time, check on eBay for great deals) Let is set for a few seconds, then massage it off. Then press a tissue against your eye, PRESS do not RUB. Getting most of the mascara off, then follow with your face cleanser. A great cleanser to try is purity made simple by Philosophy, gentle and it works awesome! Hope this helps, would love to hear from you about this = )

First just use water and close your eyes and wipe off all mascara onto your cheeks, then use a make up removing facial wash (that removes waterproof mascara) and rub it around under your bottom lashes and where ever the mascara was. This way, it doesn't get in your eye.

A good make up remover which contains oil apply it to a cotton wool bud and roll over the eye lashes place a piece of damp cotton wool under the eye to catch all the mascara and then when you've finished just wipe away any excess. leaving no panda eyes works a treat.

NEVER USE BABY OIL FOR REMOVING YOU EYE MAKEUP.
There are several products at your finer department stores that are ophthalmologist approved to aid in waterproof mascara.removal. L'Oreal makes a less expensive product that works well for me. This product comes in a blue see-through bottle and can be found just about everywhere.

Buy an eye make-up remover which is oil based, i personally prefer cosmetic wipes that remove mascara as well, as i have found that some eye make-up removers irritate the skin around my eyes, but thats just me.!.

The best thing to use is makeup remover, you can find them in drugstores for like.....$4-$7 depending on the brand. If you dont want to use makeup remover, then use baby oil to remove it. Make sure you wash your face afterwards with oil free cleanser to get rid of the oil. If you dont want to use baby oil either, then you can use vasaline and wash your face afterwards with oil free cleanser as well.
