The Democrat's whole game is about divisions. Black vs. White, Rich vs. Poor.

California was the first state to have a Hispanic governor, Republican Romualdo Pacheco, in 1875. The first Hispanic U. S. Senator, Octaviano Larrazolo, came to Washington from New Mexico as a Republican in 1928. The first Jewish U.S. Senator outside the former Confederacy was a Republican from Oregon, Joseph Simon, and the first Jewish woman to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives was a California Republican, Florence Kahn.

The first Asian-American U.S. Senator was a Republican, Hiram Fong from Hawaii. The first African-American Senator after Reconstruction was a Republican, Ed Brooke from Massachusetts. The first Asian-American federal judge was a Republican, Herbert Choy. The first woman on the Supreme Court was a Republican, Sandra Day O’Connor. The first Hispanic presidential Cabinet member was a Republican, Lauro Cavazos, Secretary of Education under Ronald Reagan.

The longest- serving African-American in a leadership position of the U.S. House of Representatives was a Republican, J.C. Watts. The first women elected to the majority Leadership in both the House and the Senate were Republicans, Jennifer Dunn and Kay Bailey Hutchison. The highest-ranking women ever in the majority Leadership in Congress, both currently serving, are Republicans: Kay Bailey Hutchison and Deborah Pryce.

Today, the Republican Party continues its historical commitment to civil rights at home and around the world.

Extremist policies/views on both the left or right are promoting polarization and racism.

More and more the extreme leftists and the extreme right-wingers simply call people names if they do not agree with their own extreme agenda. There is no dialog or opportunity to learn an opposing point of view in today's political culture.

Sad but that's the way it is. Civil society as we know it is in danger due to the polarization - including racial - that is the hallmark of contemporary politics.

Makes me sick to try to talk to a radical on either the right or left. No common sense and no willingness to listen to any view other than their own pre-conceived notions.

Now I'll get down off my soapbox...

They promote polarization, and in the sense that leftist policies are policies of blame rather than responsibility, then that too can be contrived to include racism.

Leftist/socialist policies keep poor and underprivileged folks from realizing their true potential. They buy votes and allegiance by doling out cash and subsidies, but never think of the UPLIFT of the human spirit which only comes through personal achievement.

Personal acheivement and accountability are profane words to the leftist. It's rather sad.

I believe they do. There number one program being Affirmative Action. That program has run its course and is now even discriminates against those that it was designed to help. What it is telling the minorities is that you will always need crutch because you are not good enough to compete on a equal level. Any program that is specifically designed for any particular minority group that excludes others promotes racism and creates polarization.

As others have suggested, you will argue approximately what's "radical" and what isn't. yet lots of the examples given with the aid of alternative responders are particularly "mainstream" recommendations, supported with the aid of lots of the inhabitants for some years. "Wealth redistribution?" we've been doing that continuously, via the trendy earnings tax. presently conservatives have made it fairly much less cutting-part, to furnish wealthy human beings a ruin. Obama desires to make it a sprint greater cutting-part, to furnish the middle classification a ruin. Radical? i think of no longer. His stance on abortion and gun administration is in line with rulings of the final courtroom, and the opinion of maximum human beings of human beings. The stuff approximately intercourse ed in kindergarten is in user-friendly terms a lie being perpetrated with the aid of the McCain marketing campaign team. maximum human beings, no count if liberal or conservative, agree that toddlers ought to study to guard themselves from predators. the belief of national wellbeing care is not greater radical than Social protection and Medicare. we are the only developed united states of america that would not have it. And maximum human beings want it.

Are you referring to policies such as affirmative action? Of course not. We discriminated against blacks for centuries, we held them as slaves for centuries, etc. It's the least that we can do to help them get out of the squalor to which we condemned them, even if we only offer a bit of help.
