to drink for yourself? because I cannot imagine a parent putting poison inside their child's milk.
anyway, how many of you have done that, put alcohol inside your baby's bottle just so he can get a "nice" nap.

You have to be really stupid or a moron to put any alcohol in your child's bottle.

Although pregnant women are discouraged from drinking alcohol because of alcohol' s detrimental effect on fetal development, the lore of many cultures encourages lactating women to drink alcohol to optimize breast milk production and infant nutrition. In contrast to this folklore, however, studies demonstrate that maternal alcohol consumption may slightly reduce milk production. Furthermore, some of the alcohol consumed by a lactating woman is transferred to her milk and thus consumed by the infant. This alcohol consumption may adversely affect the infant s sleep and gross motor development and influence early learning about alcohol. Based on this science, it would seem that the recommendation for a nursing mother to drink a glass of beer or wine shortly before nursing may actually be counterproductive.
I can't imagine what it would do to an infant to give it to them in their bottle and why would anyone what to?

This is so funny, Because My girlfriend just beat her cousin butt for doing this to her child. see put some beer in her 2 year old bottle because she left hers sitting around and he got a hold to it, so she thought it would be funny to put some in his bottle to see how he would react. Talk about some ghetto mother (she is ghetto), but after that butt kicking. my girl also call the family services on her, which i think was the right call. It hurt because she is family but better for the child.

LOL, nothing like antagonizing the crowd. I am going to assume you were doing this for a reaction because you know how people would be all riled up!
The flip side is that I'm sure that there are people out there who do horrible things like that to their children.

None. Although it is an old remedy to give a teaspoon of WHISKY NOT ANYTHING ELSE! That is only for colicky babies. However, there is medine you can get via perscription for that now.

it's funny someone just suggested to me an old method to get a toddler to sleep all night when they are having trouble. Mix raw egg with wine. Yuck!
