Yes. You can connect your music player direct to the stereo. Depending on what type you have either with normal analogue leads, or if your stereo has a digital connection then you can connect it though that.

Alternatively, if you buy tracks that are not copy protected you can burn then onto a CD as a normal CD, or if your stereo can play mp3's then you can burn these onto a CD.

All the answers so far are on the money BUT bear in mind that all MP3s are highly compressed (even more than a CD) and if you play your Hi-Fi loud there will be a diminution on the sound ie. no dynamics

or you could buy an itrip, and use it through your ipod, you tune your stereo into a a channel, set your itrip to the same station and then you can play you ipod through it, its like having your own pirate radio station
