Better still close them all down and never let them dirty our high street again.

No. It's not their fault that we eat there and get fat and have heart attacks. We have the freedom to eat what we want, where we want and when we want. If no one ate there, they would have to close their doors. If we would pass tax laws that slapped huge taxes on "ALL" big corporations, then that would be a different story. And I also think that any corporation who decides to close their operations within the US and take their business overseas and takes jobs from Americans should not be allowed to bring their product back to the US to sell. Sell those Nike shoes in China where you make them!

At first glance it's a great idea. But then follow it through and you'd have to tax good old fish n chip shops. That just wouldn't be right.
Anyway, I heard Mc Donalds (et al) are losing money big time in the UK because of the healthy eating campaigns. Not that kids don't want it, but us parents are more cautious about throwing lard down us kids throats!

For what?
Don't they pay taxes as it is -- more money a company makes, more taxes they pay.
