And, despite what the clown a couple of posts ago said, it is for adults who, for whatever reason, were unable to finish high school with their peers and need to finish high school in a minimum amount of time in order to join the workforce. Many employers recognize the GED , as do many colleges. It's a great way of ensuring that those who had bad luck in their teen years, be it self-made or not, can still have a chance in life.
