Try eBay. My mother passed and she had many ceramic/porcelains from occupied japan. I looked on eBay under collectibles and found out the pieces she had are not worth much. She just liked them. I hope you find that yours is worth lots!

There's a ton of occupied Japan things out there. Some valuable, most not. It's impossible to tell if yours is of any value or not without knowing what it is. Given that it's an ashtray, most likely it is not terribly valuable.
