I believe that Jesus was a fantastic orator and philosopher...can you a imagine that back in those days there was no email, megaphones, cellphones or radio and yet his message is still around today.
His miracles are something that is a matter of belief...but whether you do believe or not...this guy was a star.

I, personally don't believe, no. But I also don't believe calling jesus a 'con artist' and thereby insulting others' beliefs is the answer. I would like America to be less focused on religion, or lack thereof, in the future. When you make such poorly thought out comments you are only making yourself and other atheists look as ridiculous as all the wacky jesus freaks out there.

Based on Bibilical and Historical evidence there are 3 things Jesus of Nazareth could be.
1. A liar
2. A lunatic
3. The only begoten of GOD almighty
We have no evidence of him telling a lie, so this rules out number 1.
Nothing he did or said points to him being crazy, down goes number 2.
This leaves us with only one option to believe.
Please keep in mind that the Jewish historian Jocephus even wrote about them hanging Yeshua( Jesus) on a tree.

I do believe in the miracles performed by Jesus. He wasn't a con artist. What did He have to gain? He didn't have reason to con anyone.

Jesus walked on water. This was an hallucination caused by staying in the desert, its easy to walk on water when it is sand a mirage, just lie a burning bush. Others too could see this hallucination when they were affected by heat and dehydration.
Loaves and fishes, same thing.
Healing the sick is caused by increasing your energy levels through the power of belief just like faith healers do today. Curing the blind is to make someone hallucinate and believe that they can see. Chinese call it chi.

All just hallucinations brought on by mass hysteria, same as today when they see aliens etc in cults.

The reason why jesus was so popular is that everyone thought he was the chosen one before he was born, which is why he was the only baby not put to death. So all his life everyone watched for him to perform some sort of miracle and its easy to hallucinate with optical illusions to see what you want to see, a face in a piece of toast or a few fence pailings causing an optical illusion to look like the figure of a dead person.
