This is the Republicans' guarantee that they will win again, especially since they are so low in the polls. If you don't like it, write to your politicians and the media. They have e-mails.
So many politicians have been spied on and blackmailed that they are afraid to speak up. Force them to do their jobs and block the electronic voting -- go ahead and write today. Mail in your ballot in advance of the election if you can. At least you will have a verification that you voted, which you won't have with the machines.

Of course, but we have a real problem here - one party is in control and is choosing the machines, they can say the machines are fair and we cannot prove otherwise and they can hack the machines to win, so we can never elect anyone else. This is a very scary scenario. And the Dems don't want to do too much about it, they keep hoping THEY can somehow get control fo the voting machines for their own ends...
I want the country that I learned about in school, where the heck did it go? Did it ever exist? The one with free and fair elections reflecting the will of the people??

The only ones who complain about electronic voting are the losers of both parties.I wish I could vote on a machine. Maybe I could get out of the building in less then 1 hr like the last time.No matter if we had a paper trail the losers would find some way to claim the election was stolen. The Democrates never complain when they win only when they lose , which is most of the time.

Absolutely chilling.
The scariest part is the combination of indifference & partisan sneering that are the usual response to the issue.
This will be our undoing as a republic, & very few citizens will even acknowledge what is happening, least of all the media, who have done an abyssmal job of non-feasence in the biggest nonreported story of 2004 & continuing.

I'm way more concerned about fraud with computerized voting machines with no paper backup than about people voting fraudulently because we don't have a National ID.
