I admit, it is annoying...but then again, they are book stores and not libraries. I figure it's okay to read a few pages, maybe fifteen at most, and if you're into it then you buy it. If you don't want to buy it, then go to a library and borrow it or put it on a "To Buy" list and keep browsing.

It would be pretty crappy to stand for 10 or 15 minutes and read an entire comic book just to put it back on the rack.
Most regular comic fans can tell what they're going to like just by who wrote it, drew it, and who's in it. If you're not sure, flip through briefly and make a choice - buy it or put it back!
If it's a book or graphic novel, read the reviews and make an educated decision to buy or not. If it sucks that badly you can always hock it on eBay!

Ignorant layout comes into it whilst human beings answer a thoroughly diverse question to what grow to be asked, or decide directly to rant quite of answering. an exquisite occasion I as quickly as had grow to be a cut back'n'paste that filled the website, yet did not answer the question in any respect. i've got additionally had some people who thoroughly overlook related to the question itself, and purely say stuff like 'I agree'. ok, you compromise. honest sufficient, now would you prefer to tell me your answer at any time? Divine Laziness is the different super religious clarification for not examining. It takes this style of a question format (i'm going to thieve your occasion): Q: Why do not Xs ever seem to tolerate Ys? Yea,well there are people in this world who come in,read the comic or book and then just leave it on a table without putting it back on the shelf the way they found it.

Some book stores I've seen, have sample books of books in stock, and an area to browse and look through what you are buying. Denver has "The Tattered Cover", a great store, good people.

When my comics store was open, it was necessary sometimes to remind certain people that the Public Library was downtown.
And the good news is that they now have comics & graphic novels.
The bad news is that I've been closed for ten years.

I support any comic store that carries and enforces a sign "Do not read before you Buy". Otherwise you risk buying something that might has somebody's sweaty, greasy fingerprints smeared throughout it.

At first I was, but then I reasoned that there was no way I was going to buy the signs and I had read them before, anyway.
