I loved it. Actually, I think that I liked the premise. In today's day and age, I'm not sure that people take the time to read the classics; Alan Quartermain and the Lost City of Gold, Dracula, Tom Sawyer, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Invisible Man, The Portrait of Dorian Gray, and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde...hopefully the movie inspired someone to read a few of the books.
Did anyone notice when Captain Nemo introduced his 1st Mate to the League? He replied quickly, "Call me Ishmael". Which is a nod to Moby Dick. I think the movie was a great idea, it just wasn't as good as it could have been. The characters were all there, already written, ready to go....the plot just didn't make much sense.

Yes, but prefered the first series. Didn't like the more recent ones (where Ross s.h.a.g.g.e.d. Pauline), that made me feel queasy. I also do not like Papa Lazaro as a character, seems a bit too realistic for my liking and the voice really frightens me.
