What has worked best for me is vitamin E.
I take supplements for the skin on my body. My face acne is more stubborn to I apply vitamin E oil on my face at night and wash it off in the morning.
If you decide to take the supplements, be sure and eat something first or you can get nauseous.

The best thing to do is to get some St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Blemish and Blackhead Control. It is oil free and has salicylic acid. You can get it at any Wal-Mart or most drug stores. I have been using it for 8 years and I never have any problems with blackheads. But, the mistake that most people make when using these kinds of scrubs and cleansers is making it a chore. If you just use a little to scrub your face with everytime you take a shower instead of using soap it will really work. Inevitably though you will still get the occasional pimple. When this happens rub a little bit of toothpaste (yes I said toothpaste) on the affected area before you go to bed and wash it away in the morning before going to work/school. Be sure to use the paste kind though and not the gel kind. I really hope this helps you out, Good Luck.

Well it all depends on her skin type. Everyone has different skin types. So what may work for someone may not work for your sister. I heard that Proactiv works, but it is really expensive.
My skin is very sensitive and gets really irritated from certain acne medicines, so I use these two kinds of acne medicines and they work really good. Here are the products I use:

1. Neutrogena Rapid Clear Oil-Control Foaming Cleanser.
2. Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Eliminating Spot Gel

They both work great for me. However, no matter what you use, you cant constantly feel or touch your face or worry about the acne or it wont heal. And poping or picking them will only make them worse and spread. So try having your sister go to a dermatologist to see what is right for her. or she can try the products in the stores. I wish her the best of luck. I hope that she finds something to help her.

If it's really bad get a prescription for tetracycline (an antibiotic).

If it's not so bad, use a mild face wash like nutrogena and don't worry about it. Everyone age 11-30 deals with pimples on and off. No one really cares. Put a little concealer on it and DON'T pick at it.

EDIT:
Regarding what the person above me said, don't start taking any supplements without talking to your doctor first. They are drugs too and they're not well regulated by the FDA. Also if you're on any prescriptions whatsoever they can really mess with what you're taking. Taking a fat-soluble drug every day like vitamin E can actually lead to toxic levels accumulating in your body. Trust me I'm a nursing student and we just learned about this.

Contrary to popular belief...the best way to get rid of pimples is NOT through soap, alcohol, cleansing gels, or benzoyl peroxide.

No, the best way to get rid of pimples is by changing your diet. You need to make your diet more alkaline and less acidic. Cut out the beef and eat a lot more dark green leafy vegetables like fresh spinach, collard greens, mixed greens, parsley, etc. By eating more leafy vegetables, your skin pores won't get blocked.

You can also supplement your diet with herbs that are good for the skin: dandelion root powder and red leaf clover powder.

Any complexion problem you have will probably disappear within a week.

pimples come from a blocked sebaceous gland. It gets blocked by sebum, and so a whitehead apears on the face. If the material oxidizes and dries, it darkens to form a blackhead. Usually these are forms of bacteria (we all ahve living bacteria on our skin so don't worry too much)

However a simple cleaning would work best with something that will clean your skin and keep it dry.

Otherwise Jessica Simpson says try Pro Activ Solution.

Scientifically you would do best by keeping it clean of sebum with a small alcohol pad and you can get a box of these at CVS, WalGreens or brooks Pharmacy,

You should get some sort of cleanser for your face, preferably an acne wash if she breaks out a lot.

Wash your face twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. Don't skip!

I recommend the Noxzema citrus exfoliating scrub, Clean and Clear oil free-acne wash, and i've heard many good things about neutrogena but personally i don't like the scent.

Try out some different things, and maybe see what your friends are using too. Good luck!

Depends on what is causing them. Start with a safe detox. There are several herbals ones that you mix w/hot water. Hormones also cause pimples, this is very common in teens. You can go to a Dr. for tests & homones balancing, but in this case time is the best treatment.

Wash your face 1-2 times a day. Use a mild cleanser like Clearasil or Cetaphil. If you think your acne is really bad, go to a dermatologist and get Differen (prescription) or whatever your dermatologist recommends. Also, Benzoyl Peroxide is very god for treating pimples. Whatever you do---DO NOT PICK THEM!! It is very tempting.
Hope your face is nice and clear soon!!
