It is a pity that we don't have the hobble effect. That is when someone who steals has their hand cut off and is a pariah in their community. They are then condemned to be a beggar and spat upon in their society.
I wouldn't say that this particular person is in any way the definition of beauty.
Beauty is to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Be a good person. Take care of your responsibilities and live a good life.
Someone with the sins that your guy has is the antithesis of beauty.
