What is the ballpark price for a retainer for a divorce attorney in mid-America? There would be community property and two minors involved. Just trying to get a general idea.

Most retainers in WI are $500-1000. Can't help with the rest, we did Pro Se. (do-it-yourself divorce).
You can do it too, if there's NO fighting over property or custody!
My condolences, and good luck.

would not look fishy in any respect. criminal experts are frequently stiffed by making use of their customers, and at the same time as the money runs out, the criminal specialist won't be able to easily supply up engaged on the case. subsequently, some criminal experts ask for a retainer up the front which will likely conceal the price of maximum or all the artwork. you're entitled to a reimbursement of any unused money as well as an accounting of all expenditures.

It cost me $1,500.00 for the retainer a couple of years ago. Check with reputable attorneys or your local bar association and they can let you know.
