The game starts just fine(age of impires 3) but about half way into it, my computer freezes and then - restarts somtimes.

This never used to happen before, I scaned my computer for spyware and viruses but nothing came up. So I think it's a hardware problem. Can you help me?

Thanks!

I love that game... Anyway there are 2 things to be considered and both of em are hardware problems.

1. Video - It is either the video driver is out of date and need an update.. Better get an updated driver and a version 9.0c directX

2. Memory - If you see an error message like can't write memory module error. You have a busted memory even though it still functiions some part of the memory is dead,,, Kinda costly having this as a problem but my hunch is situation no. 1

If it's only happening when you use Age of Empires 3 or a few other programs, then the cause is "software" memory leaks. You can remedy this by buying more memory, or just don't play the problematic games.

Increase the size of the page file in the virtual memory.
