Not *all* the 80s stars are broke or washed up:
Madonna has managed her money brilliantly, and continues to add to her fortune (her recent "Confessions" tour grossed more that $194 million).
And in Michael Jackson's case, there's no amount of education in the world that can overcome severe, untreated mental illness.
