Okay, I know I've already asked a question like this but here I go again... I finally talked to my bf about getting engaged, but he says he wants to but he wants to surprise which i understand, and we both want to get married! He said he has been thinking about it a lot lately as have I, but we both believe that it is because all of our friends and family are getting married/engaged. My question is... How much longer am I going to have to wait?!

Okay I do love him with all of my heart and we have been together for 3 years and have been living together for almost 4 months. We both love each other and have been through so much together. I couldn't see myself with anyone else.

When the time is right. Don't do it cuz evry 1 else is. Do it because it's the right time for you.
Good luck and early Congrats for when it happens. :)

How long have you all been talking about this? Are you all happy otherwise in your relationship? If so, maybe he wants to do something original, or costly for your "surprise" (which really won't be if you know he is going to do it and may be another reason he is waiting) Maybe he wants to wait until all of your friends and family are married so it won't seem like just another wedding. I think as long as you all are both happy, you should wait as long as it takes....good luck

ahh the time is true!
for me it was on a deserted beach on the north island of new zealand at cathedral cove, misty weather and a seagull as a witness.
The scary thing when you ask is what if the answer is no or can i think about it?
Just let him know in advance that you would marry him.
Take the pressure off him.
Never assume he knows.
Then act suprised.
Good luck...best thing I ever did...best party we ever had. 2 countries 250 good friends and no annoying relatives

Don't rush it, if its going to happen it will happen. If it is not meant to be you will know.
The one thing you want to remember is not to rush into everything, just because you have all family & friends getting married, doesnt mean you need to do it too.
Go with your own pace, you want to make sure this is the right peron and you are doing it for the right reasons, not because everyone else is.

Until he ask. It's his privledge to ask when he's ready and yours to accept or decline. Let's not force or blur the issues. If your not content having him in your life while waiting, there are bigger issues that you have addressed here. You want to be with him right? Or is it about having a ring to show off or prove something to your friends? I hope it's the former and not the later.

I know people who waited for 6 years, I only waited 2 years. He wants to ask u when u least expect it, so u need to chill out and when he thinks ur not thinking about it he'll ask.

You have to wait until both of you are ready. Don't rush into marriage. It's a long haul. Be sure before you jump.

If he is the one you want to marry then you will wait as long as it takes. But we have no answers here!

I hope you are not living with him or he will take as long as he wants to propose. If you are intimate with him, it will also take a long time before he proposes. I hope you are over the age of 25. If you are not, then you should wait until then before you even consider it.

Don't let the pressure get to you....just be patient and wait...your time will come sooner than you think!
