I think I have narrowed my proplem down to the Ignition sw. or the Neu. Saft. Sw.. Pink wire comes through Firewall to distributer is shorted to ground need help Isolating

If it's an automatic, it is mounted on the steering column close to the floor. It also has the back up light switch in it. See the site for a picture of what one looks like.

if its a manual its under the clutch peddle it will be a little box sticking out of the firewall with a button that moved in and out. if its an auto the switch is in the gear selector

The Nuetral safety switch will only keep it from cranking. If it cranks but doesn't start look somewhere else./ Nothing to do with the distributer.

the neutral safety switch is on the steering collum

automatic transmission or manual transmission? if manual it should be on the clutch pedal
