i tried that route, and they didn't work for me. try copying, that's how i did it. i found a comic book style one i think it was how to draw manga. the instructions were good, it just didn't help. it made mine worse. i've found that taking classes is much more helpful - even if it's a regular art class ( i don't know that there are classes regularly available to draw manga) because you can watch someone draw and you learn perspective and such.
