Just do it. The worst thing that can happen is she says no. Big deal. Then you just ask the next hot girl to the dance. Don't get emotionally involved with something like this until it makes sense. You need to detach yourself from any feelings about her answer before you ask the question.

Well, first I would find an excuse to talk to her about something that interests her or school or something, to make her feel comfortable with you (remember 90% of what makes a girl say yes comes in through her ears, not her eyes - opposite with guys) - and then if all is going well, ask her is she'd like to go to the dance.

Do not take alcohol. Just gather the courage and do it. May be first time around just make casual conversation then second time ask her. Yes confidence is the key and I believe, if u fake it then u will get it. I remember, decades ago when this guy came shaking and trembling and to this day I remember it.

Simply ask her. You have a fifty-fifty chance of her saying yes. You never know, she may think you are a "hot" guy and be hoping that you will be the one to ask her. Good Luck!

Just ask! The worst she can do is say no. Rejection is part of a man's life anyway...and they have enough testosterone to make up for it later and forget about it of they do get rejected.

she's hott?? preppy or no, if she's preppy, then you've got to dress nice and look good and then just ask her. just be like " hey are you goin to the dance?? who are you going with?? oh, i don't have anyone to go to the dance either, you want to come with me??"

show confidence, girls find it sexy. fake it if you have to. you can be shaking on the inside, but if you force yourself to confidently ask her, you can pull it off. even if she says no, she'll have more respect for you for taking the chance.
