Though his name is written in katakana in the manga, the family name "Hatake" can be written in kanji either as 'farmland' or 'leaf warrior'. The literal translation of "Hatake" is "cultivated field"; however, "Kakashi" means 'scarecrow'

Kakashi- enigmatic, crazy, voyeuristic tendencies.....a total "scarecrow"
Sauke Uchiha- Sasuke is named for Sasuke Sarutobi, a famous ninla who set off at the age of 10 to master ninjutsu, and who helpedchange ninja'sreputations fromblack mabic assassinsto elite hereos. Sasuke could live up to his name, but the original Sasuke had a sense of humor! Because the letter for "ha" can be pronounced "wa" or "ha", the name Uchiha is a play on uchiwa, or paper fan (like the one on Sasuke's jacket). In ancient Japan, uchiwa were used in court ceremonies, as souveniers, and to protect soldiers from arrows(and much more!). Like his namesake, Sasuke can easily adapt to different situations.
Naruto Uzumaki- The word "naruto" refers to the fishcakes that float in ramen, his favorite food! A name like that leads to thinking with his stomach, and gut reactions serve well in battle but cause problems elsewhere. "Naruto" is also a tidal phenomenon off the Japanese coast, where crashing currents create dangerous waters. Plus, "uzumaki" means "whirlpool," Which describes Naruto's chaotic side! Oh, and the fishcakes usually have pink spiral centers-more whirlpools!
Sakura Haruno- The word sakura means "cherry blossom," the national flower of Japan, and represents loyalty, love, and even samurai! Sakura's love for Sasuke drives her to excel while her loyal spirit accepts Naruto in the team even when she doesn't like him. As for her last name, haruno means "spring field," a place of possibility and growth. Spring fields can be cultivated and orderly, or wild and unruly- just like Sakura!
Iruka Umino(Iruka Sensei)- His name in Japanese means "dolphin of the ocean" Like a dolphin, Iruka is tough yet playful!
I don't know if you wanted to really know any of the other stuff besides the meanig og Kakashi's nmae but oh well! sorree!!!
