longer answer: it can be detected via a "pap smear" (when they take cells from the cervix during your annual exam), when it is sent off to the lab.

you have to have a pap smear. i found out that i had hpv and it had developed into cervical cancer so if you think you have it go now and have yourself checked out. dont wait

No, it doesn´t show up there.

Only a pap smear can show that.
