For me, being a country person, it seems like so much changes all the time, everyday there is something new on the grocery shelves, and most of the time, it's something that I either can't afford, or don't really need. I just want people's opinions on this matter.

Our technology has gone from “how can we make our work easier and faster” to “how can I make my leisure time easier and faster.” Our marketplace seems to reflect that mentality. Of course, we don’t have to buy whatever they’re selling.

Even if you are not from country, things do keep changing and new things coming up..
But it is wrong to judge that people dont need it ... someone must have felt the need so it is there in the market... (After all necessity is the mother of all inventions)..

Yes, you may be right that you may not be able to afford it.. but that hardly makes a difference.. not everyone is a Rock star, Bill Gates or big time industrialist who can buy just about everything under the sun. (just remember, there might be somethings that even these people also would not be able to afford)

I feel our technology is going way to fast for our mentality.
Because the mentality in this country has gotten way to lazy.
For instance, no one wants to change a tv channel by hand.

I feel our technology has gotten everyone in the attitude zone,
If it can be done easier or faster, I'm for that. I don't like being
put out or bothered, I want fast, fast, fast, cause I've got to much
to do. Sheesh, stop and smell the roses people. Just this lil 'ole
county gals opinion. Were all gonna pay for this someday soon.
There is gonna be a huge energy crisis and everyone is gonna
go insane when they don't have all this stuff doing their work or
chores for them or entertain them.

Have a great weekend.

Mentally yes but financially no. The cost of living is constantly going up but paychecks aren't always going up.
