It's not a "special occasion" kind of place, but it's what I'm craving! Should we go somewhere else?

I love Red Lobster and I think that's a great idea. Oh, and congrats on your new job!

What better time to get the food you are hungry for. It doesn't matter that it's not your idea of a "special occasion" place, what's most important is that you are rewarded for getting a new job. After all, tonight is all about YOU. What would be sad is if you wanted to go to Dairy Queen or McDonalds...now that would be tacky.

No, They should take you where you want to go. I think many people go there for special occasions. Besides it's not where you are, but who you are with that makes it a special occasion.

Thanks for reminding me that I want to get there before the all-you-can-eat shrimp thing is over. Hope I didn't already miss it! I think it's a great choice if that's where you want to go. 'Special Occasion' places can be overrated and expensive. Go where YOU want.

going to a place because advertising has told you it is a special occassion kind of place is foolish.

Who cares if it's tacky? If that's where you want to go, fine.

Hey, if the food's good........ go, go, go!!!! Besides, you'll enjoy it more than paying a gazillion dollars to go to a "fancy prancy" restuarant.
