6 month new home. Odor in guest bath , two months later in master bath.
Builder said it was the marble. Marble sink tops were replaced but still the odor. Marble co. said they never had the problem before. Could it be the cabinet wood but kitchen has the same wood and no order. Custom cabinets.

Your sewer drains are not plumbed correctly. marble has no smell. My guess is there is wood chips and crap in the drains blocking the flow. If it is only 6 months old then call the contractor and have them fix the problem. They will smell it too and don't let them BS you about the marble. That's a damn lie.

Builder changed the counters? I take it you would have checked it but my guess would be the drains, drains in a washroom usually cause orders in washrooms , kitchen and in a garage.

But of course anything is possible, in my 20 years in marble, I have never seen one smell, unless it was black and you were breaking it. But that was natural marble, not cultured.

Stick your nose in the drains.

sounds more like a mildew problem, and you paid to have the marble removed for nothing. unless the odour is similar to vinegar, then its a sealant problem.Check along the edges of the floor by the sink and shower for little black spots.
