for silondan: you can choose to love or not, you can choose to do the things that make you happy or not, everything is about decisions, and not just your own decisions, others` decisions too...

In a sense, yes. We make thousands of decisions each day. Many of them so minor they barely warrant our attention (like I decided to have fruit loops for breakfast, decided to wear red & black, decided to come to work etc). Others are more major: career, love, etc. Should I quit my job? What do I want to do? Should I end this relationship & start a new one? Should I marry this guy? But yes we do have a lot of choices to make & sometimes it's overwhelming. Sometimes you wonder if you're making a mistake. So you just follow your heart & hope for the best!

I have a problem with the use of the word just is that sentence. I would say a key part of life is making decisions. However there are other things of equal importance, happiness, love etc.

I totally agree, because you are constantly having to make a decision. Its the right decisions that you have to try to make and that is SO hard!

Sure it is. Decisions have a major influence on which way our life goes. Circumstances beyond our control have some influence too, but you have to make decisions about how to HANDLE those circumstances.

Can't argue too much with that except the word "just". The life of a computer is just a bunch of decisions, but to describe human life as the stupidest fugging thing I've ever seen! Throw that LSD in the toilet, cover evenly under a pound of fresh chit, add a pinch of salt, and splatter with a bladderfull of steamy piss. Flush thoroughly. Hopefully you'll have no more idiot ideas limping across that vacuum twixt your ears. GOD, I'D LOOOVE TO THROTTLE YOU! YOU HEINOUS CREEP!! AAAAAAARRRRGGGG!!!
Just jokin' - heeheehee!

I agree because decision making is just one of life's aspects. You decide everyday about the cloths you want to wear, what meal you want to eat for lunch, which one of your friends you want to hang out with, and so on.
So yes, life is full of decisions.

I see what you are trying to say but sometimes things happen. Perhaps this will help.
" Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens; not by what life brings to us but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst .... a spark that creates extraordinary results"

It's not reducible to choices. Sure we make them, but most of the day it's rather robotic, on autopliot.. or we're just plain acted upon by the environment.
