I am moving to Florida, is North Port a good area?

US 19 does not run through North Port. US 41 does. I moved from there last year. There are no jobs in North Port, you would need to commute to Sarasota. Housing is expensive.

I do not live there but have a sister in law there and we go and visit often. It is still a relatively new area..up and coming. Florida itself is expensive. But I'm from Palm Beach so to me...North Port is cheap. I'm personally more of a fan of the East coast of Florida. But again it is expensive. Alot of things to consider....why are you moving down to Florida? Are you single...if your young and like to party alot...maybe Miami or Ft.Lauderdale is more your speed. If your alittle older and enjoy a slower pace of life maybe North Port is right for you. I enjoy Palm Beach because yes...it is getting the upward movement from Miami and Ft. Lauderdale but it is still home! Port St.Lucie is the newest boom area in the state as well as Ocala. but Ocala is in the middle of the state and alittle further from the water/beaches. Tampa is amazingly effective. I used to stay in Orlando close to Walt Disney international. I enjoyed Orlando, which isn't that a approaches from Tampa. there is plenty to do in Florida. you would be able to as properly tension right down to Orlando and bypass to topic parks and bypass to Downtown Orlando. I enjoyed it close to that area of Florida. that is rather heat climate and additionally unpredictable. It does rain plenty interior the summertime via typhoon season although. i'm valuable you like it.
