OK MY QUESTION SOUNDS PRETTY CHILDISH..BUT I WISH YOU ALL UNDERSTOOD HOW I FEEEL. IM A ROMANTIC KINDA GIRL SO THESE THINGS GET TO ME...WELL THE GUY IN ONE OF MY CLASSES WAS JUST ADORABLE AND I REALLY STARTED TO HAVE FEELINGS FOR HIM .. I WAS THINKING OF HOW TO ASK HIM TO HOMECOMING (OUR SCHOOL DANCE) AND TODAY AT SNACK I SAW HIM WITH A GIRL IIIII DISPISEE! THEN LATER I HEARD THAT HE LIKES HER AND I GUES SHE LIKES HIM TO AND NOW SHES WAITING FOR HIM TO ASK HER TO THE DANCE. OKKKK WHAT AM I SUPOSTED TO DO? II HAVE A FEELING HE LIKES ME TOOO..BUT WE'RE JUST NOT THAT CLOSE FOR ME TO GO OUT AND JUST ASK HIM TO THE DANCE. IF YOU WERE A GUY..OR IF U ARE...WOULD U B TO SHY TO TALK TO A GIRL THAT U DIDNT NO AS MUCH..SO WOULD U TAKE THE EASIER ROUTE AND HANG OUT WITH A UGLIER GIRL BUT STILL DECENT LOOKING JUST B/C U'R MORE CLOSE W/ HER AND NO HER BETTER. okay..listen to me on this. seriously.
ask him--NOW. dont just "add him"...be blunt. i'm 21, and i know how this crap goes. i've been on both sides of this type of situation..you AND the other girl.
if you dont ask him, she will. and you need to beat her to it. because what happens when they go, and maybe start dating??? then what? you just gonna let him go?
don't live with regret. trust yourself and you're probably right. he may like you.
the way to handle asking him, is to be casual. dont be nervous. just be like "so..i need a date to homecoming. why don't you go w/ me??" and be cheery about it and not too serious.
if you go up all "uh..um..well...i was kinda wondering..." it's not going to have the same effect. i know it's hard to act like you dont care--but do it anyway! haha
if you're romantic (i am too hehe)...this means a lot to you. because it's the beginning of what 'could be'. get some guts girl! it's your love story on the line! could be what you've been waiting for.
and i know you know, deep down, what you want to do...and you're just afraid...and FEAR GETS YOU NOWHERE. let me know how it goes, k??

Don't panic!!! The trick is not to panic, those who panic are lost! Now, the first problem is that you did not tell him how you feel! That would be shy tension. So he talks to someone whoalready has. My suggestion is to talk to him and try to find out if he is really going with the girl. Now if he has, you should stand down, the worst you can do to anyone is take away the one they love (or even like), because it is pretty painful. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT make any attempt to seduce him to you. You would feel just as bad if someone does that to you. And be strong! Do not give in to such a situation.
I go through this kind of thing all the time, even if I already tell the girl, she goes with the other guy. Although I feel like crying, I don't because I know I'm stronger than that. I fully understand your situation and hope my humble advice may help you in your troubles........................................................................................

Don't worry so much about the dance. Just try to get to know him more in general. The more time you spend with him the more he'll want to get to know you as well.
Find out what he likes and maybe discuss those things. Then maybe he'll try to take an interest in what you like as well?

Go fo it girl - ask him out you'll never know if you don't. If he like ya he'll say yes if you wait until he asks the other girl if he's descent he won't dump her just to go out with you.
Comeon ask him quick, just get it over with. All that he can say is no.
Also what does ugly have to do with anything - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Just do It! Go to him and ask!! If you know your better looking..GO! Guys are that way(in high school, especially) something out of there league comes and wants to be with or go to a dance they will say yes! I know from experience~!

i think of that in the event that they are honest with themselves and anybody else, anybody might say that they cry or a minimum of tear up on party. I cry. in simple terms have been given achieved crying. various issues make me cry. video clips, song, stress, loneliness, etc.

Dear "Lost": You don't have to be. If he's got eyes for you then he'll certainly come and ask you for the dance. If he's got eyes for the other "ugly" one then he'll go for her no matter what you do. It's as simple as that, so make your decisions accordingly and Good Luck!

Something like this happened to me too, except the guy and girl got WAY closer. Just kiss him! Ok, maybe not, yeah- cry!!! I did. Ask him. If he rejects you-it's not you it's him. You can't control that kind of thing.

Just go ask him. The only way he wouldn't go with you is if he has committed to go with someone else already. That doesn't mean he doesn't like you, it just means that someone beat you to it. It's still early in the year, so you'll have another opportunity. Don't cry!!
