The US empire will not crumble due to any debt or trade deficit.
The U.S. will become less dominant only if we lose our advantage on the technological and scientific fronts.
As long as we keep the edge that we have now, no country can usurp us. However, if we become complacent and out-source our expertise in these areas, we will perish.

i do no longer think of, you want ever subject regarding the loss of life of the so referred to as "US Empire". they have been hurting for it gradual now and the country is extremely feeling the pinch, monetarily. With the conflict in Afganistan and Iraq sucking up lots of the money slated for an incredible type of alternative endevours on your own united states of america, to help your own human beings. fairly, they are going for the super conflict gadget, that has curiously slowed down, with the effect in question!! Any monies stored beforehand of the Bush reign, has long long previous and been wasted, with the national debt growing to be with the aid of the day....... Time for a transformation yet?? You tell me!!

There is no doubt that we have some issues to deal with. We are certainly not "entitled" to survive. That being said, the United States Of America is the greatest enterprise every established on earth. What makes it maddening is also what makes it so good. We are a force for good, despite the constant issue of self mutilation.

Unfortunately nothing lasts for ever, look at history of empires they all vanished mainly because of arrogance and greed of ruling classes. The British were ruling almost half the world and even at the height of it British working class and welfare class were deliberately kept very poor by ruling elite because of greed.Arrogance destroyed England and its empire.Same is now the case with USA.

Since the US is not an empire, your question is moot. The US empire has never existed except in your imagination.
