I almost didn't answer your question due to the codescending attitude. The youngest CURRENT hypnotist? No idea. The youngest one I ever heard of was a fellow named Dave Elman who began learning hypnotism around age 7 or 8.

You don't get a "job" as a hypnotist, unless you just want to be a stage entertainer, for which I have no interest; you open a private professional practice, as many other well-paid professions do.

A professionally trained, certified, professional hypnotist can make over $100,000 (US) a year. They help people resolve problems and are known as hypnotherapists.

Hypnosis has been around for a LONG, LONG, time, and recognized for pain control by the American Medical Association (AMA), and other things since 1955. One of the earlierst hypnotists, was a fellow named Anton Mesmer in the 1700's.

There are NO cons to learning a skill well. The pros would be you wouldn't want to harm someone inadvertantly, look like an idiot because you tried to put them in a trance unsuccessfully, or have wasted your subject's time.

To the others who posted here, about "this scam". Be careful what you make fun of. Learn something before inserting size 27 feet into your even bigger mouths!

Unless you are ready to go to med school for a while I would look else where for another profession.
