I Have worked all my life. Now this is the first time I will not ne able to for a while. My husbands Job was transferred 200 miles away and we have no family to help us with the children. So I will be taking a little time off until I find something as financial stable as what I had at my old job. Has anyone been in a similar situation?
Please let me know if I’m considered for unemployment because of the transfer

No.
Unemployment is only available for those who are out of work due to involuntary separation. While you may feel that you have "earned" unemployment after all these years, it is actually your employer that has paid the unemployment premium to the state. When you apply, the employer will be sent a letter requesting they either agree or disagree with the claim. They will disagree, since the employers unemployment insurance premium is based on the number of claims filed against them.
sorry.

mm.. not sure... every state is different... the best thing to do is check out the website of the state you are currently living in.. and the state ( if you are changing) that you will be going to..

California will allow relocation pof a spouse as a good cause reason for a voluntary quit which could be elegible to reveive benefits. IF you are from another state, maybe they have a similar provision.

Quiting your job due to your husband's transfer would not make you elegible for unemployment.

You are not considered unemployed if you quit. Only if you are fired or laid-off.
