If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aNC2D
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

I'd get on the Internet and look for casseroles recipes. The Internet is a great place to search for new recipes. You could also make pizza in a variety of ways (even buy the dough pre-made to save you time and you need to save time with that many kids). Also, crockpots are great and easy ways to make meals. Ribs in a crockpot are like Heaven on earth!!! You can buy country-style ribs (AKA Farmer ribs); drain some of the fat by first browning them quickly and lightly under the broiler or boil them a few minutes until they are light brown; put them in the crockpot; add one onion quartered and pour in a bottle of your favorite barbeque sauce. About eight hours later you will be in dreamland!!! Or, go to Cosco and buy precooked/pre-rolled meatballs (so yummy) and put them in the crockpot, again with barbeque sauce. Easy. If you have a crockpot, review the recipe book that comes with it, or buy a crockpot. They are still a great device for busy moms and easier to clean than the old ones. Finally - there are great recipes for chicken and fish, not just meat. Speaking of fish, if you family likes salmon, buy one of those long strips; season it to taste; bake it at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes on a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam. When cooked, lift it from the skin beneath with a spatula and there you go with a great, healthy meal. As a time saver, I put 4 or 5 oz. servings in a zip lock bag and when I'm ready to eat I open the bag and put it in the microwave on auto-defrost for a few minutes. You could then prepare a salmon salad or just salmon with veggies and a potato.

What are your old ideas?
I suggest Thai food. It can be pretty basic -- noodles and peanut sauce, but you can add all sorts of things to make it new and different (or keep it plain) Fried tofu is surprisingly good and bok choy is a veggie that is not too weird to try.
Your kids are old enough to be making thier own decisions and cooking! Maybe make each one in charge of one meal per week and you can help to make sure they chose well balanced meals!

My kids are 16 & 13 and they .ove open-faced hamburgers.
Mix your ground beef with chopped onion (if they like it), seasonings and shredded cheese. Make patties very, very thin and about 1/2 inch bigger than the bun. Place on 1/2 of bun and broil until done. Watch because if pattie is too thick, bun will burn before meat is done. It's a change from regular hamburgers!
Taco casserole
Brown 2 1/2 lbs. ground beef with 2 pkgs taco seasoning. Spread on bottom of casserole dish, layer with the following: sour cream, salsa, shredded cheese, tortilla chips, salsa and cheese. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes or until bubbly.
Hope you like them - they're our family favorites!
