my razr has lost my address book, it just came up with the message 'replace your sim card' which i had not removed and all my contacts vanished. They are not on the sim either any idea s how i can retrieve them?

take your sim out and battery re insert battery and switch on u will gat insert simcard message try accessing you options menu without the sim cosyour address book is stored on your battery if you still have nothing u prob have stored all your addy,s on your sim try your sim in another phone and look, switch your phone off take battery out re insert your sim making sure the area where battery goes is free from dust etc then replace battery charge your phone and swithch on this should be ok then check your contacts and stored information if not ring your service provider they should help

Take the SIM out and wipe the contacts, replace and make sure that it's seated properly, then check again.

If address book is on the phone just put any sim card and you can access it

All I know to tell you is to never buy Motorola again. I paid good money for both of my Motorola's and they each perform like crap (had to send back to the factory 3 times in less than a year). I'm going back to Nokia next time.
