Indian society is unfortunately in the grip of caste system which is prevailling since the time immemorial.

And the Brahmins are integral part of it. Most of the rituals of all other three castes are performed by the Brahmins only.

Brahmins are considered to be the original Aryans. They have been contributing to the culture, social system of India since long, significantly.

Though some of us also consider them to be responsible for the plight of India.Even few Brahmins believe it.

Since your question is hypothetical, I can assume that it will certainly affect India in many ways, socially, religiously, culturily.

Try to see the bright side of every thing...as Munna Bhai often tells me.

Nothing.Anybody can play the role of Brahmins today, Now everybody is a literate they can perform, whatever has been and being performed by the brahmin community. In short, whatever role brahmins have played in the past and are going to play in future, willbe done by somebody else.

Brahmin is not by caste as explained by the lord in Gita.
The one who devotes his life truly in search of Brahman irrespective of other consideration is a brahmin. So there will always be brahmins in this earth but always few in number
