my female doctor told me that i should be getting my period this week but still havnt gotten it. my period started last month on the 20th so does that mean im a month late since i havent gotten it yet. i have cramps on and off but thats because i have cysts on both of my ovaires so really i cant tell if im getting my period or not cause the pain comes and goes. should i take a test or not?

your doctor will never be able to tell you when u will come on. only you will know this. u bleed rougly every 28 days so if u was last on on the 20th and today is only the 22nd then u are prob due on.

Your period doesn't come on the same day every month. As for being late, you are not going to be considered a month late yet. For instance, if you were supposed to start Monday, then you are 5 days late. Lateness is counted from the day you are supposed to start not when you last began. Anything could be causing your period to be late. Stress is a possibility. I say give it a week, if you still haven't started then take a test and see a doctor.

It can nerve heart to take a test. Just to be on the safe side. But as well you should call your doctor to make Sher everything is going ok. Good luck!
