Stay! Move to another room or something. Don't leave the house, especially if you have kids. That way she can't go back and say "He left/abandoned us".

I am a female and i think the smartest thing you can do is stay in that house.
If you leave she will think of herself as free and maybe start dating other people after awhile and if it gets to the point where a divorce is in order she will be in good standing for the house.
But if you want to work it out just stay in the house and DO NOT talk to her unless she says something to you, but keep it short and sweet, if she asks why just tell her you are giving her, her space and your keeping yours. even go out on the weekends with the boys and have some drinks come home late. Believe me she will come around you just got to be strong about it. she will be asking to go to the bar with you.

She wants you to leave the house so that she can get it in the divorce. If she needs space let her leave.
Be careful though if she wants you out bad enough she could start a loud fight with you and then call the cops and charge you with domestic abuse. By the time your lawyer gets you out of jail she could change the locks and file a restraining order.
My suggestion is listen to your lawyer then go back to him he sounds like a good one and find out what you need to do to protect your interest.

Yep.. if shes the one not wanting to work on the marriage and she wants the seperation then she should be the one to leave.. ur atleast willing to try counseling.. she's not, she's making excuses not to go by blaming it on u..
Do what ur lawyer told u.. Do not leave the household.. if she wants to live like roomates let her but if she's the one wanting out make her leave.. the house is just as much yours as it is hers.. why should u have to find a place to go and start all over again when she is the one that doesnt want to try?????

I can understand why she wants space. But I also feel that you both need to sit down and talk about the problems. And when I say talk, it's not yelling.
Sit down, and one of you say what is upseting you, talk for a short time, keep the comments short, the other needs to repeat back what you said, like this is what I heard you say, and then you give your explination of what you were thinking. It helps alot. It's something that has worked for my wife and I to resolve conflicts in our marriage and we also don't fight like we used to.
I think your right for wanting to go to marriage counceling, but I believe your wife needs to go as well. Sounds like she has some trust issues but I think counceling will do you both alot of good. My wife and I have been going through counceling and it's helped us alot. I would suggest seeking Christian Counceling through a pastor. That's what has worked with my wife and I and I strongly suggest it.

Do not leave the house if you might want to keep it after the divorce. My lawyer told me NOT to leave because you need to be able to prove you need the house in the divorce settlement. (I live in Cali) I guess each state is different, but yes you should probably move to another area of the house. She will leave is she is that serious!

I for one thinks she wants more than just a seperation. Most of the time though when people separate they do live in different houses. I did. Your lawyer knows whats best for you though. Maybe she has a new "friend" that she doesnt want you to know about.
