Pazzia Caffe -- 337 3rd Street near Folsom, in a small retail/residential complex with a parking garage, just south of Market and very near downtown. Excellent Tuscan-style cuisine. Their pasta and pizzas are truly outstanding, but even better is the Tuscan roast chicken, perfect with one of their good house salads. Wish I could go with you!

Never ask for a parking lot in SF. You aren't going to find one. Go to the Ferry Building down by the Embarcadero. You can get fantastic pasta and salads as well as seafood, confections and other things there.

If you are further towards Civic Center, the Asian Art Museum has a nice cafe. You can get Asian-inspired noodles and salads.

RE: Parking? Go to the Stockton/Sutter garage - very reasonable rates - the best in downtown SF.
Healthy pasta? - that would be whole wheat pasta, and the only I know where to get it is at our house. Otherwise, for semolina
pasta (which is "white" pasta and not very healthy) try Pasta
Pomodoro on Chestnut Street.

How about the Rose Pistola in North Beach.

Nice atmosphere and a very broad menu.
