realistically or not. just curious. i would personally like to see medical coverage for everybody and more proactive steps to changing our lifestlyes to be more in harmony with the environment.

Well, I would reform the credit system. It seems to be that the credit system is the biggest divider of economic class in the United States. Of course the people we look to reform have good credit, so they don't care!! The credit system set up is a joke.
I would get rid of income tax in favor of a flat sales tax. That way, you keep the money you earn and get taxed a flat percentage of everything you buy. So rich people buying expensive crap would get taxed the most, etc.
I would disband all social programs. Get a job or die off. Sorry it is that simple. The government is not going to pay for you to live.
(you know "evolution")
Finally, I would make it VERY difficult to be an illegal immigrant. Legal immigrants are more than welcome ILLEGAL ones are not. I would fine the living crap out of anyone hiring them and perform regular audits of their payroll to enforce it.
There is more but those are the highlights. I have to get back to work.

I would see that there are better benefits for American citizens.
I was talking to a Australian and he told me the government there takes care of it's citizens. They give you money every month if you're not working and provide low cost housing. He gets free medical care.They even gave him money to start his own business and sent him to school to teach him how to run a business. Makes you wonder why if the U.S. can't do the same, after all we are the richest country in the world.
