No, the opposite. Long before there were computers, a "Trojan Horse" was a common metaphor to refer to anything which was attractive on the outside, or even just looked normal, but was concealing something dangerous inside. It comes from the "Wooden Horse of Troy", or Trojan Horse for short. After 10 years of the siege of Troy, the Greeks had been unsuccessful, so they built a huge wooden horse and hid a platoon of soldiers inside it, then left it outside the city gates and pretended to sail back to Greece. The silly Trojans - the citizens of Troy - knocked down part of their city wall to get the horse into the city. You can guess what happened that night.

The first computer viruses to use this trick, of disguising themselves as something important or just ordinary, were naturally called "Trojan Horse viruses", and now they are just "Trojans" for short.

I think you might have that backwards,buddy!The Trojans were called Trojans because they came from Troy[you know like Americans come from America],and it was the Greeks that came in under false pretenses not the Trojans.
