It is a misspelling of "Throggs"
Throgs Neck, Throg's Neck, Throggs Neck or Throgg's Neck are variations of the spelling of this once rural peninsula in New York.
According to Robert Throckmorton, a direct descendent of the first settler, the Old English origin of that name however, derives from "throgg" (note the two G's) which meant drain.

They are an evil race of small ugly creatures that live under the beds of bedwetting children. Or do you mean where the bridge is?
