well, that is very sad try to talk to the mother for she could talk to her son 4 he could understand older people need love too.
Also try to spend time with him to show him your a great person.

Well, frankly, I don't blame the kid. I mean-- he's already lost his family. His father probably "visits" him if he's lucky--if he eve has a father. He's probably packed up and shipped out every other weekend... and now his MOM is busy with some guy and her own love life? Why does the child have to suffer for his parents' bad choices and endure their love life?
Maybe the woman should wait until the child gets through his teenage years before dating and getting involved with other men. Give the kid a break, huh?
You didn't do anything to him, but his parents sure screwed him over. Like he needs his mom's attention split even further?
Find a single woman with no kids, or wait til this one is grown up before you expect to take his mom away from him.

He was jealous and scared. She should have talked to him and explained it to him so he understood better. Women who let their children control their lives are making a big mistake. It give the children too much power at too young of an age. It is bad for the son and the mother.

Oh?? he is still a child. The mother has to make the final decision herself and you need to give the boy a chance to bond with you so that he will feel comfortable with you dating his mother.

well who's in charge here - the mother or the 12 year old - alot of women use their kids as excuses to get out of relationships or she could be feeling overwhelmed and guilty as a single mom. ask her.

well that's a problem.try talking with him,try really hard to show him that you don't come to separate them but to possibly join them. keep at it and you may succeed. you have to convince him you are there for them both, no matter what she comes in a package and the whole package must come together or it won't work. if you are not a phony, the kid will come around.time,time is all you need.

She needs to set her son straight and let him know he has no say so concerning her personal life. You can bet when he starts to date, he's going to do what he wants.

i think you need to play an active father role in his life, first thing first, put the belt to his behind, let him know his role, and put him up for adoption if things get away with you two. Second get your woman pregnant, so he'll have a half brother to distract him from you.

thats something that he and his mother are going to have to talk about it would be great for you to be there also but first let her understand where hes coming from
dont try and buy his approval though bc i know if i was that age and someone tried to do that it would annoy me even worse.
