My baby was the exact same way. In fact, I got extra ultrasounds bc of this which was great! I did kick counts all the time and they were consistent. Try to do this -- you really have to commit to at 15 minutes of being very still and focused several times a day. I think a bigger concern if your baby was moving a lot and then suddenly stops. Definitely tell your doctor either way!
Plenty of people laughed at me bc I would talk about how I was expecting a mellow baby. Well it turns out my daughter is pretty mellow! Ok, well no two years olds are really mellow, but she is much more into sitting still and snuggling than most toddlers. :) I do think you can predict your baby's personality when she is still inside you.

Your baby may not be as active as others. By this stage you should be feeling some movement. Try to lie quiet for a few minutes without moving and see if you feel even the slightest movement. Also try to drink some orange juice and lie on your left side and see if you feel movement.
If you still don't feel any movement and you are worried, go for an ultrasound/sonogram. It cannot hurt.

its okay, when i was pregnant for my daughter she didint move very much, i felt little bits of pressure, but no kicking until i was 24-26 weeks.
Right now I am feeling it move like crazy its been since 16 weeks. It just depends.
If the sonogram shows the baby is okay, then i wouldnt worry about it. As long as you feel it once a day, then your okay! Could be that its hyper at night and sleeps all day.

My best friend an I were just talking about this. Her little boy was very active when she was pregnant and now he is a very active 2 year old. But another friend of ours little one was not very active at all, and now he's a very laid back, calm 2 year old.
My baby has been very active (I'm 25 weeks) and I know she is going to be a little devil! I think you're OK and lucky to have a calm little one. :)
But it's no big deal to ask your Dr. for another ultrasound to make sure everything's OK if you don't feel movement. and you just might get more pics of the baby!
Congrats and good luck!

Yes, it is normal. As long as you feel "some" movement periodically. Don't expect acrobats just yet. Commonly, the most active period for a fetus is between 24-28 weeks.
I've had 2 babies, and I felt little movement until around 24-25 weeks---then the acrobatics started up!! Don't sweat it yet, sweetie, give that baby some more time--he/she is just flexing for some strength building right now.....wait a couple more weeks and you'll probably notice a huge increase in movement.

Don't worry about it. Is you baby a boy or girl? They say that girls don't move that much but mine did. You are only half way there. In a couple more weeks the baby will be waking you up from the movement. Don't worry the farther your along the worse it gets. Good Luck and congrats.

some babies are very active and some just arent---I think it just depends if ur sonogram revealed everything is ok--then dont worry about it--maybe ur child is very calm. Im 17 weeks prego and my baby moves alot liek it just started like 1 1/2 weeks ago---just wait--soon u will feel ur baby thinks ur belly is a nigh club

You may have a studious son, or a quiet little girl. But of course, perhaps your baby will start kicking, and not quit till he is born, as soon as you start reading replies here. Rely on your doctor that everything's all right.
