Does anyone think you can tell what your having just by using the old wives tales, like the shape of your bump etc??

I'm having a girl and my bump is low and more round the hips than a tidy bump at the front, and the babys heart beart is quite fast, AND I've just done nearly mommys quiz which confirmed a girl. http://pregnancy.about.com/od/boyorgirl/a/quizboygirl.htm

I've had a 4d scan thats how come I know though.

I've heard people say ifyour baby bump is low its a girl and if you carry high its a boy, but no scientific evidence to support this I'm afraid. Even ultrasound is only 85% accurate

Yes I believe that if you are wide in the hips and across the stomach that you are likely to have a girl and that if you are carrying it all in the belly (not across, but sticking out) it will probably be a boy.
And guess what, there is a 50/50 chance of me being right. ha ha....Actually I have not been wrong yet.

As far as signs go no i dont think so i had 3 very diff pregnancies and carried diff for everyone and yet had 3 boys ...
personally tho i knew i was having boys on all 3 i just sorta knew it !

we tried the old wife's tales and every time it was wrong my bumb looked different each time the only thing that worked was a ring on a string over your tummy if it swings side to side its a boy if it goes round its a girl

Lots, of people say if you crave like fatty foods, like lots of Ice Cream and things it's a boy. If you crave like fruits like watermelon and things. It's a girl! This was true with my baby, Finding out what it is, is always so helpful so you can get names picked out, easily. Clothes, room stuff etc.! Hope all is well

They say the mom always knows. I knew my baby was a girl as soon as I saw positive on that stick. I was very moody during my pregnancy and they say your having a girl if that happens. I knew all along it was a girl. I didn't need nothing to tell me.

No way, I had two very different pregnancies, different shape bumps, carrying differently, different cravings, one with morning sickness , one without. And I have 2 beautiful boys !!

All those tales are *** backwards for me. I'm having a girl but everything says i am having a boy!! 3 Ultrasounds confirmed it.
