People have always immigrated to America and assimilated into our culture and they learned the English language. We grew as a nation because all of these people wanted to be American and we were united together.
Today our society has allowed and encouraged immigrants to maintain their own language and culture resulting in their maintaining loyalty to their own class and country. They want the advantages of being in America taking advantage of resources and opportunities, without the assimilation as in the past Because of this we have divided America and ourselves by race, origin and language. The elected politicians are so diverse by race and ethnicity, they have been making laws based on their own special interests. Many of these new laws have been eroding the basic principles on which this country was founded.
People in America are confusing the privileges we extend to people of other countries with the rights of American citizens. While we are debating what is right and what is wrong, we are failing to make decisions that are necessary to protect America itself.

Who is definitely-known with what's going to be achieved, there hasn't been some thing achieved by making use of both party thus far. The Republicans and Bush addressed it and did no longer some thing. The Democrats and Bush addressed it and made up some plans that the american human beings did not desire, so no longer some thing changed into achieved. Now Obama and the Democrats are back speaking about it and likely no longer some thing will be achieved. (Election year) unlawful immigration is a warm button political situation via the indisputable fact that's. Neither party needs the baggage which will come from a real attempt to fix the issue. They tip toe round amnesty and shutting the border, even dispensed the money for a fence. The fence nonetheless is interior the non existent level. in the experience that they do what they ought to do, they could deliver back the illegals, close the borders and promises up thinking Social protection for those illegals. you should artwork and pay 40 quarters to be eligible for Social protection, they in reality pay for 18 to get an analogous reward. those with anchor toddlers must be despatched back and at the same time as the youngster is sufficiently previous enable him %. which united states he needs to call domicile. deliver them to their personal united states, deport all unlawful, a lack of life sentence for those convicted of smuggling drugs and human trafficking. cause them to practice for citizenship legally NO amnesty.

Well, part of it is the sheer size of the borders. The US-Mexico border is 1,951 miles long, mostly desert and scrub land. The US-Canada border is 5,522 miles long (including the Alaska-Canada border) consisting of a variety of terrain (lots and lots of trees, mountains, rivers, lakes etc...). These are huge distances, and patroling every mile even is nearly impossible. A wall could be built, but who's gonna make sure someone on mile 4,327 or 3,182 or 2,557 (you get the idea) doesn't knock part of it down? It is most unfortunate, but sadly, it's the reality.
New measures, however, are being taken to at least spot people attempting to cross the most commonly-trafficked parts of the border. UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles, like the ones used in Afghanistan and Iraq) have been equiped with better cameras and deployed along the borders. Mobile guard posts, as well as more border guards are being brought out. We'll have to wait and see if all these measures are effective or not.

Very good question, the politicians cannot agree what to do with immigration but most agree to secure the border at least. Still, they keep coming with no opposition in sight. I'm not sure how much credit you can give to someone that says they are all for national security while leaving the front door wide open

One reason is that the politicians in congress want the votes. They voted for the fence awhile back, but then they voted down the funding for it. We are now getting the fence along with the funding. We all have a responsibility to let our representatives how where we stand on this issue. They do listen. Honestly they really do.
For example in Florida Bill Nelson-D and Mel Martinez-R are pro-illegal. They will not see my vote. Barak Obama also is pro-illegal.

Exactly! A half trillion dollar war doesn't make us any safer. On the contrary, it made a lot more enemies. Yet we practically lay out a welcome mat for anyone who wants to stroll on into our country.
