opal = opel (car manufacturer?) also known as vauxhall (or something like it)

Yes, Iit's true. You can find Opals in the middle of the road. I passed an old Opal just the other day even though the driver left little room. A bit rusty it was and right behind a Ford and Buick. But they were on the right side of the road, not the middle.
