I stayed at the Bluedaws hotel the last time I was there, I don't know the exact price because I was there with a group tour so I just paid for everything at once. Also Kensington Gardens hotel is very pretty and I nearly stayed there once, I think the prices change seasonally. If those don't work out for you then try ricksteves.com, he always has updated info about traveling on the cheap including hotels. Have fun in London!

Don't know of any websites but there is a cheap hotel in Victoria. It is about 5 minutes walk from victoria national coach station and run by a load of dodgy foreign types. It costs around £25 per night but be warned you get what you pay for, But if all you want is a bed for the night then it is a good no frills package. Can't remember the name but you will sometimes see people handing out flyers for it outside Victoria national coach station. Hope this helps.

I have found that the Columbia Hotel is a good bet. Includes a good breakfast, located across from Hyde Park, and fairly close to the tube. Check the website at www.columbiahotel.co.uk. For general hotel prices, try lastminute.com. I have found that their hotel rates often undercut the hotels own rates if you tried to book over the phone.

Hello:
Check out http://www.grab2travel.com
Go to Hotels section.
Also try to do SmartSearch, which will give you recommendation and click on individual buttons to perform search to compare rates. I like that place... You dont have to go to individual sites and type the same information again and again.. here once you enter you are done to compare....

It's unlikely you'll find good quality cheap accomodation in Central London but you never know. Visit http://www.visitlondon.com/ as they sometime negtotiate good deals. For guesthouses, try Smooth Hounds, although I have never used them for London: http://www.smoothhounds.co.uk/.
