You know some of these Dry Clean only items can actually be washed, I worked at a dry cleaners and learnt that the manufacturers only tag them as dry clean only so you cannot have any recompense on them should you damage them in a hot wash or similar, also i know of a dress hirer who does wash her gowns and hangs them out to dry. give it a go in the bath ....obviously not hot and do not wring or scrub but as we did at the dry cleaners before washing rub a little diluted hand wash soap powder on the spoiled area with finger tips laid out flat and then wash and rinse thoroughly, hang out to dry. Good luck

Try Febreeze.
Or another trick is to tape a dryer sheet (like Bounce) to it. Then drape the dress over a fan (make sure the fan is clean). Turn on the fan and position the dress so that the fan blows air through the dryer sheet and onto the dress.

Totally agree with the answer to take it back and tell them to get it cleaned properly and emphasize how important it is too. If it still smells of sick then they will smell it too and can't argue that they need to be doing the job again and for free!

Febreeze? Baking soda? Carpet deodorizer? Ask the dry cleaner?

Give it a real nice airing out - a couple of days on a clothes line - iron with a hot iron, shpritz the dress with a bit of perfume.

Make your brother wear the dress for the day as an act of penance.

Test it on a hidden piece of the fabric first...but try ODOBAN. It gets rid of any odor, but not safe for some fabrics. Otherwise, take it back to the cleaners and demand they do it right!

Take to the best drycleaner in your area, ask the drycleaning association or ask richer older friends who use drycleaners regularly for a recoomendation. or just go to the most expensive one. yes you do get what you pay for.
