My nephew has to stand trial because he was with two people under 21 who had purchased a keg of beer. The keg was not opened and my nephew was not the one who bought it. What are his chances of getting out of this?

if nothing else he will get 2-5 yrs probation for accesory to the crime for being there.the judge will say he could have left, called someone , refused to participate, or even get in the vehicle. he is not a complete victim he is old enough to make proper choices and understand consequences if he doesnt. sorry but that is the law. better probation than jail. and if he is under 18 yrs. when he is released from probation it will not go on any adult record b/c he will be considered a juvenile and all records will be sealed.

The public defender or his own private atty should be able to clear him if he has had no other run-ins with the law, is telling the truth about not being the one who purchased it, etc. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He will still have to go to court. Call your local bar association for help if you do not have an atty..

Sounds to me like he bought the beer for them. If he's lucky, has no priors & cops a plea: He'll probably get away with a fine & community service.

you're able to be an officer of the regulation provided that this may well be a concern the place somebody is breaking the regulation. the main you're able to desire to do is to have a company the place you help the police to seek for babies or foyer for extra penalites for intercourse offenders. the common answer is that civilians can not be vigilante keepers of justice. The regulation would not enable it.

"Getting out of it" - low. "Copping to a lesser charge" - good.

Frankly if he was with them, he should have known better and is an accomplice; he deserves what he gets.

If he was with them the law states that he is just as guilty.
